Mobile Phone Policy
Whitburn Golf Club seeks to promote a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in which Members
and their Guests can enjoy the Course and Clubhouse facilities. The Mobile Phone Policy
has been updated to reflect current trends.
Clubhouse
Mobile phones are allowed in all areas of the Club but must be switched onto silent or
vibrate mode in the Clubhouse lounge, dining room or snooker room. Calls can be made/taken
in the car park, locker rooms and Clubhouse lobby areas.
Course
Mobile phones are allowed on the course but must be switched onto silent or vibrate mode. Phones
must only be used in an emergency.
We respectfully ask that Members and Guests comply with the Mobile Phone Policy out of respect
for others and do not put our staff in a position where it is necessary for them to bring the
Policy to your attention.
All members are requested to ensure that these standards are maintained and staff have been
instructed to enforce this Policy. Staff will be happy to assist you with any enquiries you
may have. You should be aware that anyone found not complying with this Policy will not be
permitted to play golf or enter the Clubhouse. Any grievances/queries should be referred to the
Secretary. The Policy may be modified at the discretion of the Committee.
