8th Hole

The eighth is a relatively short but increasingly narrow par five at 487 yards.

The trick here is to hug the left hand side of the fairway, avoiding the rough, the wall and the trees to be able to get the best line for your approach shot.

The tee shot disappears into the swale and the second is played blind to a green which is well guarded with a wicked bunker on the right and dense trees on the left. Be careful on going for the green in two as many approach shots have ended up in the trees.

To make things more difficult, the narrow green is raised with big slopes at the front, back and left hand side. The green is normally very quick as it also drops away towards the sea.
