12th Hole
At 446 yards the twelth is a great par four with out of bounds on the right, two well-placed bunkers and a kidney shaped lake right in front of the green.
A good drive will leave you right on the margin and needing, possibly as much as a three wood from a downhill lie to carry the water. Its not suprising that many players choose to lay up and go for the short pitch.
A good approach shot will stop on the green which slopes from back to front. But don't leave it too short as the ball could easily roll back into the lake as there is no fringe. Also, if you are long, you will be faced with a chip to a downhill green which runs all the way to the lake.
This hole is consistently the hardest hole on the course and certainly justifies it's stroke index of 1.
