Visitor Conditions

Play on the Course

It is expected that Golfers have attained a reasonable standard of play. Slow play destroys the enjoyment for many players. Visitors, like everyone else, are required to maintain a reasonable pace. As a guide, a 4 ball should take a "maximum" of 4 hours to complete. Players are required to watch the pattern of play, both in front of and behind their own game, and are to give way if they are holding up a following match.

Visitors

All visitors MUST start at the first tee. Unaccompanied visitors MUST alternate with Club Members arriving on the first tee. (This does not apply to visiting parties who have tee reservations).

Green Fees

  1. All temporary green fees quoted are PER PERSON unless otherwise stated (4 ball)
  2. All temporary green fees quoted are for a FULL DAY TICKET(i.e. unlimited golf)
  3. All temporary green fees MUST BE PAID prior to play commencing
  4. Guests MUST BE PLAYING with a Member in order to qualify for reduced rates
  5. Bank Holiday/Weekend rates apply on weekdays between Christmas and New Year
  6. Quoted green fee rates apply at all times. There are no reductions for temporary greens, preferred lies etc.
  7. Winter rates ONLY apply between 1st November to 31st March
  8. Juniors MUST be introduced by and playing with a Member or an adult.

Type of Play

Play MUST be either 2 ball, 3 ball or 4 ball better ball. Texas Scramble is not permitted. Any other format MUST be by special permission of the Club Secretary.

Course Conditions

Whitburn Golf Club rarely closes however the Suspension of Play policy MUST be observed when weather conditions dictate.

Dress Code

Visitors and Guests MUST comply with the Clubs Dress Code and Mobile Phone Policy.

Catering Fees

Catering fees MUST be paid to the Clubhouse MAnager before catering is provided.

Whitburn Golf Club reminds each player that they MUST have adequate insurance before playing on the course. Whitburn Golf Club will in no way be responsible for any damage caused by any player and it is an incumbent duty that any such damage is reported to the Club Secretary as soon as practical after the incident has occurred.
